DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will manage technology and lead major projects to improve product performance, efficiency, and costs in the automated Non-grain Oriented Electrical Steel (NOES) plant, supporting Arcelor Mittal Calvert's business goals.
The Basics:
- 3+ years in furnace technology
- 5+ years of industrial experience
- Demonstrated understanding of control systems, instrumentation, process models (Process Management fundamentals)
- Experience in NOES – Non-Oriented Electrical Steel product and Annealing Coating line (ACL)
- Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of heat and mass transfer, combustion, chemical reactions, and equilibrium (chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals)
- Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to senior management
The Extras:
- Background in major steel mill processes and products preferred, with in-depth knowledge of finishing processes and technology

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide technical support for the NOES ACL process
- Responsible for regular reporting of NOES ACL performance to Technology Manager
- Work directly with NOES ACL Operations team to support improvement initiatives
