Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Part-Time Data Analyst to support key initiatives across our analytics and operations teams. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
This is a part-time role offering flexibility, ideal for professionals seeking a reduced schedule while still making meaningful contributions to data-driven healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets related to healthcare claims, provider performance, and client outcomes
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with operations, clinical, and IT teams to define data needs and support ongoing analytics projects
- Identify trends, variances, and performance indicators to support strategic initiatives
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing data pipelines and databases
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, preferably in healthcare or insurance
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, and at least one data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with healthcare claims data or workers’ compensation is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks
- Availability for 20–25 hours per week, with some flexibility during project deadlines
