Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Bayou La Batre, AL that is the leading boat builder specializing in push boats, both with azimuth thrusters and conventional shaft and propeller.

A
Pipefitter isresponsiblefortheinstallation,maintenance,andrepairofpipingsystemsonships.

The role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, follow technical instructions, and adhere to strict safety regulations.

Essential Functions:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design plans.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to specified dimensions.
  • Align, position, and secure pipes before installation.
  • Inspect piping systems for leaks, defects, and compliance with standards.
  • Perform repairs and modifications on existing piping systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols and shipyard procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide progress updates to supervisors as required.
  • Stay current with pipe fitting techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience as a pipefitter in shipbuilding, industrial, or construction environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
  • Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and installation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and shipyard safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under various weather conditions.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
