This position is a 9 month Contract position that sits onsite in Birmingham, AL.

• Perform 70% SQL development work, focusing on creating and optimizing SQL queries, procedures, and triggers within a Postgre
  
  SQL environment.
• Participate in database migration tasks, including data migration and transformation, as part of the ongoing transition from Postgre
  
  SQL with Timescale to Azure Cosmos DB for Postgres.
• Take on DBA-type tasks, ensuring efficient database performance and maintaining system integrity.
• Collaborate with the team to improve code quality and efficiency during the final stages of the project, with potential to explore integration of Machine Learning components into the system.

• 1-3 years of experience working with SQL, including data modeling, SQL development, and a focus on code quality and performance optimization.
• Experience working with Postgre
  
  SQL, and cloud-based environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for coding and learning about the business’s operational needs.
• Ability to work in a small, dynamic team and contribute to both technical and non-technical initiatives.
