Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver- Grove Hill, AL

Job Summary

This is a skilled position requiring three years of related experience. The candidate will drive a Tri‑axle or Single/Multi Axle Dump Truck to transport construction materials to and from jobsites. The role requires performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal operating adjustments to the Dump Truck, as well as lifting and moving transported materials as needed.

Applicants must possess a Commercial Driver’s License with the necessary endorsements under 49 CFR 383.91 (heavy straight vehicle—Group B or combination—Group

A) and have prior experience operating a Dump Truck in a construction environment. Local candidates will receive special consideration.

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform truck inspections, including checking oil, water, horn, lights, tires, windshield, wipers, fire extinguisher, fuel, and seat belt; clean mirrors and windows; start engine, allow warm‑up, and check braking and steering.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Know different types and sizes of aggregates.
• Drive truck to the jobsite and position it for loading by a loader or plant operator/storage bin.
• Occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 30 lbs, climb, sit/drive, shift gears, cover/uncover loads, change wheels, adjust lugs, and use hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
• Lower the bed of the truck and drive to be loaded again.
• Communicate effectively and be a team player.
