Pain Clinic Unit Secretary
Seeking a Unit Secretary for the Pain Clinic. The Unit Secretary performs clerical, receptionist and unit coordinating duties in the Pain Clinic. The Unit Secretary functions within policies, procedures and guidelines of SMH in accordance with the CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. Ideal candidates have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. Previous experience with Meditech and/or Cerner is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills and the desire to assist the department in running smoothly. The Pain Clinic is a busy clinic so ideal candidates will have the ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow. Pain Clinic is open M-F, hours are 8:00am-4:30pm. Some flexibility available with schedule for ideal candidate.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of clerical experience / 1 full semester of Nursing School with Clinical
- Excellent secretarial as well as customer service skills
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills in a professional manner, good organizational skills, personal maturity, accuracy and flexibility.
- Ability to multi-task and manage/prioritize workflow.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/
Experience:
- Prefer previous knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer skills, including Microsoft word and excel.
- Cerner a plus.
- Unit Secretary experience or other administrative office experience.
- Successful completion of orientation
Educational Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
License/Certification: N/A
