Paraprofessional ELL
Willett Elementary School
Essential Job Functions:
* Assist ELL students individually and in small groups in the classroom (letter naming, sounds, sight words, segmenting, blending, number , oral counting, comprehension, grammar, etc.)
* Work with small groups outside of the classroom on targeted skills (see above) and language/ vocabulary development
* Weekly/periodic progress monitoring of students' skills and progress
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify areas of focus for groups/individual students
* Assist with duties Experience working with ELL students and bi-lingual individuals preferred

Skills and Abilities
* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
* Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
* Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Building Principal and/or designee
Qualifications Profile:
Highly Qualified: 2 years college credits or equivalent (Para Pro)
Salary Range: $32,266 - $47,397
