The Children’s Center at AHS and AHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Early Education and Care Paraprofessional

Description:
The Children’s Center at AHS and the EEC Program Support Staff position is a five-day-per-week role, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The staff member’s schedule will be shared between The Children’s Center and the AHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Early Education and Care (EEC) classroom.
EEC CTE Responsibilities- Supervise high school students during their placements in The Children’s Center
- Observe, mentor, and evaluate student performance to support professional growth
- Supervise students in the classroom, allowing the lead teacher to focus on hands‑on instruction
- Provide coverage for staff breaks and substitute needs
- Assist with administrative tasks and daily operations in the Children’s Center office
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.
- Commitment to maintaining established classroom and school routines and procedures.
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for working in the early childhood education field.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and accountable.
- Effective communication skills with staff, families, and students.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctual with consistent, dependable attendance.
- Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality.
- Highly Qualified: 2 years college credits or equivalent or passing score of the Para Pro.
- EEC Certification as a Lead Teacher or higher.
- Experience in Early Childhood Education.
- Experience working with high school students is a plus.
Salary Range: $32,266 - $47,397
- When acting as the point person in the administrator’s absence, contractual coverage language will apply.
