Preschool Lead Teacher

Preschool Lead Teacher – Cumberland, Rhode Island

We are hiring immediately for a Contract Preschool Teacher to join our team of caring educators.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in education or related field
• Minimum age 18
• Meet all state Toddler Teacher Assistant requirements
• High flexibility and willingness to work within business hours
• Previous experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare preferred

• Accept Cadence Education philosophy and work as part of a teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children
• Document and share important milestones in a child’s day with parents
• Collaborate with other preschool teachers and leaders to implement engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Respect and observe children’s interests; intervene when needed to maintain safety, enhancing play with language, toys, and activities
• Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations
• Plan a daily schedule that balances quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor activities
