The Children’s Center at AHS and AHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Early Education and Care Paraprofessional

August 25, 2026 (with orientation days prior)

Description:

The Children’s Center at AHS and the EEC Program Support Staff position is a five-day-per-week role, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The staff member’s schedule will be shared between The Children’s Center and the AHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Early Education and Care (EEC) classroom.

EEC CTE Responsibilities
  • Supervise high school students during their placements in The Children’s Center
  • Observe, mentor, and evaluate student performance to support professional growth
  • Supervise students in the classroom, allowing the lead teacher to focus on hands‑on instruction
Children’s Center Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage for staff breaks and substitute needs
  • Assist with administrative tasks and daily operations in the Children’s Center office
Requirements and Expectations
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.
  • Commitment to maintaining established classroom and school routines and procedures.
  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm for working in the early childhood education field.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and accountable.
  • Effective communication skills with staff, families, and students.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual with consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly Qualified: 2 years college credits or equivalent or passing score of the Para Pro.
  • EEC Certification as a Lead Teacher or higher.
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience working with high school students is a plus.
Salary per Attleboro Paraprofessionals Association Collective Bargaining Agreement

Salary Range: $32,266 - $47,397

  • When acting as the point person in the administrator’s absence, contractual coverage language will apply.
