The SSC program is designed to provide the therapeutic, academic, behavioral, and structural supports necessary for students with social‑emotional/behavioral needs to successfully access general education and participate in the life of the school. The primary goal of the program is to develop, apply, and generalize the skills necessary to manage emotions, develop positive relationships, self‑advocate, and make responsible decisions.
Job Goal / PurposeTo ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Reports ToBuilding Principal and/or Director of Special Education
SalaryFY26: $64,004 - $108,744 (FY27 to be determined)
Performance Responsibilities- Master's Degree preferred
- Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)
- Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable
- Safety care or CPI trained preferred
- 1-2 years as a special educator
- Training or work experience in ABA
- ELL and SEL training preferred (e.g., trauma‑informed instruction, culturally responsive teaching)
