August 25, 2026 (with orientation days prior)
- Assist ELL students individually and in small groups in the classroom (letter naming, sounds, sight words, segmenting, blending, number , oral counting, comprehension, grammar, etc.)
- Work with small groups outside of the classroom on targeted skills (see above) and language/vocabulary development
- Weekly/periodic progress monitoring of students' skills and progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify areas of focus for groups/individual students
- Attend meetings when applicable
- Work with BMS staff to help support MLL students
- Assist with lunch duty
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Multi-lingual preferred
- Highly Qualified: 2 years college credits or equivalent or passing score of the Para Pro Test
Salary per Attleboro Paraprofessionals Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Salary Range: $32,266 - $47,397
