Special Education Inclusion Teacher
Thacher Elementary School (K-4) Start Date 8/25/26 (and prior days for orientation)
General education and special education staff work collaboratively to ensure access to the general education curriculum. Services are delivered in a variety of models including co-teaching, push-in, small group, 1:1, and pull-out.
Qualifications:- Master's Degree preferred
- Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)
- Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable
Job Goal/
Purpose:
To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. Provides support through MTSS to benefit all students.
Reports To:
Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education
Performance Responsibilities:
- Safety Care trained, preferred
- 1-2 years as a special educator, preferred
- SEI credentials
- Experience in Lexia, Orton-Gillingham preferred
- FY27 Salary range: $64,644 - $109,831
