Job Description

Special Education Inclusion Teacher (1.0) Coelho Middle School (Gr 5-8)Start Date; ASAP
General education and special education staff work collaboratively to ensure access to the general education curriculum. Services are delivered in a variety of models including: co-teaching, push-in, small group, 1:1, and pull-out.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Master's Degree preferred
- Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)
- Licensure in Reading preferred
- Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable
PURPOSE:
To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. Provides support through MTSS to benefit all students.
REPORTS TO:Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Safety Care trained, preferred
- 1-2 years as a special educator
- Training in reading instruction preferred ie, Orton-Gillingham
- Training in restorative practices preferred
- ELL and SEL training preferred
FY27 Salary range: $64,644 - $109,831
