Cost and Financial Planning Analyst

The Cost & Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for a variety of aspects including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analyzing the company’s finance and expenses.

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

• Power BI experience in a financial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end reporting solutions, from data extraction to stakeholder presentation.

• Experience using AI or machine learning tools to support financial analysis, forecasting, or performance reporting and improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight through automation or predictive analytics.
