LEAF, Inc. seeks a Chief Building Official to lead building safety operations within our Public Administration & Government practice. In this role, you will oversee plan review, inspections, and code enforcement for government clients, ensuring compliance with local and state building codes. You will manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with public agencies, and provide expert guidance on permitting, safety standards, and project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage building safety, plan review, and inspection services for government clients.
- Interpret and enforce applicable building, fire, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes.
- Oversee and mentor inspection and plan review staff, providing technical guidance and training.
- Coordinate closely with public agencies, developers, and design teams on permitting and approvals.
- Establish and monitor performance standards, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Resolve complex code interpretation issues and appeals in collaboration with municipal officials.
- Review complex construction documents and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support proposal development, scopes of work, and contracting for public-sector projects.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and resources across multiple concurrent assignments.

- LEAF, Inc. in public meetings, hearings, and stakeholder presentations as needed.
