Rolling Mill Operator - 3rd Shift

EMS is looking for experienced Rolling Mill Operators.

Position Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of ZR rolling mills and metal forming machines, working with close tolerances. Check and order material and work from route cards and schedules. Use a variety of precision measuring tools to perform in-process inspection and check incoming material to meet required standards

Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate the mill, including roll changes

* Operate edge trimmer and in-line welder as needed

* Change rolls and components in the mill housing as needed

* Work with very close tolerances from route cards

* Use shop math, use micrometer, gauges, and samples

* Complete setups, routine maintenance, and other equipment related operations.

* Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems

* Wear all required PPE at all times

* Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area

* Other duties as required

Education and Experience:

* High School or Equivalency Diploma

* Basic Shop Math

* Ability to read and understand written instructions in English

* Ability to use hand held measurement instruments

* Experience operating continuous metal strip processing equipment preferred
