Student Nurse Assistant-Per diem-LDRP

Job Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Assists with activities to assist the patient in meeting basic human needs including but not limited to nutrition, hydration, mobility, comfort, elimination, socialization, rest, and hygiene. Collects, reports and documents simple data.

• Assist in providing patient care according to policies, procedures and guidelines of SMH in accordance with CDC and OSHA standards and applicable regulatory or accreditation agencies.
• Perform direct patient care activities as directed by the Registered Nurse.

• Currently matriculating in an accredited Nursing Program.
• Successful completion of one semester of Nursing Clinical with expected graduation as an RN within 1-2 years.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to assist in providing patient care.
• Good organizational skills.
• Personal maturity, accuracy and flexibility.

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of at least one clinical rotation.

• BLS competent.

• Report to:
  Nurse Manager.
• Manages: N/A.

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Salary Range: $15.67 - $23.50 per hour.
• Pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires; actual compensation will be determined after taking into consideration factors such as work history, experience, skill set and education.
• This is not inclusive of the value of Sturdy Health’s benefits package (if applicable), which includes healthcare, dental, vision and retirement.
