Our Business Banking Group is a team of banking professionals who can deliver all the services you need quickly and conveniently.
Responsibilities- Develop a portfolio of customers, prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs) through networking and other business development efforts.
- Sell bank products to new and existing customers.
- Partner with assigned branches for cross‑sale opportunities and customer relationship management.
- Manage relationships externally with key Community Partners to leverage programs, tools and resources that can assist BB customers grow and make their business more profitable.
- Source, evaluate and recommend new BB banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships, including both C&I and CRE relationships.
- Manage a portfolio of BB clients to help minimize risk for the bank, cross sell to the book of business and create a positive customer experience.
- Coordinate calling and relationship management activities with multiple internal business partners including commercial, investments, treasury, retail, and insurance.
- Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure of credit requests.
- Maintain an internal Bank contact management system including full history.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
- Five to eight years of sales and management experience.
- Basic understanding of commercial businesses and banking; demonstrated basic knowledge of credit with some prior credit training and sales training.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; strong sales skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to utilize a full range of prospecting sales activities and technological proficiency.
- Availability to attend networking and other events outside of customary business hours.
- Self‑starter capable of generating sales prospects and pipeline.
