40. Operates and maintains steam boilers, auxiliaries, and chiller plant equipment. Represents the Facilities department as first contact on nights, weekends, and holidays. This position has no set shift and provides coverage for vacations. When no coverage, work day shift with other trades.

• 2+ years experience in a high‑pressure boiler room (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds and climb a ladder
• Massachusetts First Class Fireman License or higher
• Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License is required

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range: $25.16–$38.42 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education.
