Plumber

Overview

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager and within established hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable codes and practices, performs a wide variety of testing, repairs, maintenance, and record‑keeping for plumbing and medical gas systems and equipment.

• Thorough understanding of plumbing and medical gas system codes, regulations, and practices
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces, and work in harsh environments such as boiler rooms and mechanical spaces
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Must be able to work extra shifts and in hard‑to‑reach areas

• Massachusetts Master Plumber License

High school diploma or equivalent.

Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License.

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

$33.82 – $52.24 per hour. The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. The actual compensation will be determined after consideration of factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education.
