Building Automation Technician

Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM‑3:30 PM. On‑call once every 12 weeks.

Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager, and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and applicable codes, performs a wide variety of repairs, overhaul, and servicing duties on hospital plant and equipment with emphasis on building automation equipment.

• A thorough understanding of HVAC and controls principles and practices.
• A knowledge of a back net building automation system.
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds; climb ladders and access crawl spaces; work extra shifts; perform work in harsh environments such as boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, and crawl spaces.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Refrigeration Technician License Preferred.

Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Salary Range: $33.82‑$52.24

The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. For annual salaries this is based on full‑time employment.
