DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
Safely and efficiently stage, load, and unload finished product and raw materials through the use of material handling equipment, attachments, tools and accessories. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory & warehouse cleanliness at all times ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Outbound and inbound inventory receiving, etc,
- Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
- Safely and timely stage products for loading.
- Safely and timely load products onto truck, and/or railcar.
- Move products safely into warehouse inventory storage.
- Move waste & scrap into dumpsters as needed.
- Responsible for quality control - damaged products.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Perform daily forklift safety checks, preventive maintenance and report any issues.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Keep clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Maintains thankful, respectful, polite, and courteous attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and applicable state certification for forklifts.
- 2+ years of forklift experience working in similar industry. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience. Clamp exp preferred.
- Good oral English and written communication skills.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery. - Ability to stay a team player and meet deadlines.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
