A great UHY client is seeking a Manager, Global Consolidations and Financial Reporting to join their team. This role will lead global consolidation processes, oversee financial reporting, and serve as a technical accounting resource across the organization while driving consistency, accuracy, and compliance in a complex, publicly traded environment.
The Manager, Global Consolidations and Financial Reporting role is a hybrid position based in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a permanent opportunity offering strong upward mobility, leadership responsibility, and high visibility within a global organization, with the ability to partner closely with senior leadership and influence key accounting initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead global consolidation processes and oversee financial reporting activities across multiple entities
- Manage and mentor a team of two direct reports while driving performance and development
- Serve as a technical accounting resource, supporting complex areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and cash flow reporting
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and ensure compliance with public company and SEC reporting requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate accounting implications of business activities and transactions
- Support and enhance SOX controls and internal control environment
- Lead efforts to update and maintain the company’s accounting policy manual and disseminate technical guidance across the organization
- Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation and reporting
- Assist in implementation and interpretation of new accounting standards
- Manage data flow and activity within consolidation systems (e.g., Oracle, HFM, One Stream)
- Collaborate with external auditors and support audit processes as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA required
- Public company experience required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)
- Strong background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and SOX controls
- Experience with complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, leases, and cash flow required
- Prior leadership or management experience required
- Experience with One Stream, HFM, or similar consolidation systems preferred
- Background in Big 4 or large public accounting firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong communication skills and a career‑driven, motivated mindset with desire for advancement
