Accounting Clerk

Responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices using SAP ERP systems.

• Process customer invoices, credit memos, and payment postings within SAP
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with customers
• Perform daily cash applications and reconcile payment discrepancies
• Review aging reports and elevate delinquent accounts as needed
• Maintain accurate customer account data and documentation in SAP
• Investigate chargebacks, deductions, and short‑pays
• Support month‑end closing activities, including AR reporting and reconciliation
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing issues
• Generate and analyze AR reports from SAP (aging, cash receipts, open items, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls

• Experience with SAP modules related to AR (commonly SAP FI
  , SAP SD
  , or SAP FSCM
  ) Required
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, and accounting principles
• Attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment (specifically automotive industry) and meet deadlines

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration is preferred
