Venteon Finance is currently seeking a SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT for a global manufacturing client in Oakland County.
REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Tax Accountant role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of related Tax experience in either Public Accounting, or Corporate Tax
- Federal and State Tax Compliance experience
- CPA or MST preferred
- Exposure to Income Tax Accounting preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Tax Accountant
- Assist in maintaining tax calendar to effectively track statutory and internal due dates for all tax filings
- Evaluate book to tax differences related to fixed assets; utilize software to compute federal and state tax asset depreciation reports
- Responsible for preparing the Company’s tax provision and related disclosures
- Research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and current tax developments
- Assist in calculation and review of payroll related tax issues
- Other duties and special projects as requested
