Tier 1 automotive compounding operations. This role is responsible for strategic sourcing,
supplier management, and cost performance across resins and specialty materials critical
to our product portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead sourcing strategies for resins, glass fiber, additives, paints, and adhesives
* Execute RFQs/RFPs, market tests, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
* Negotiate multi-year, index-based supply agreements
* Monitor resin markets, pricing trends, and supply risk and providing proactive strategies.
* Manage and develop suppliers to meet cost, quality, delivery, and IATF 16949
requirements
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with strategic suppliers.
* Support cross-functional teams and new program launches
* Manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment.
Commodity Scope:
* Resins:
Polyolefins, Styrenics, Vinyls, Specialty & Sustainable Materials
* Reinforcements & Fillers:
Glass fiber, minerals, talc
* Additives & Others:
Masterbatch, modifiers, paints, adhesives, sealants
What You Bring:
* Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Highly self-directed, proactive, and organized with excellent follow-through
* Ability to make sound decisions using limited or imperfect data
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office (cost models, data analysis,
forecasting)
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required
* 4+ years of automotive purchasing experience (Tier 1 preferred)
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and advanced Excel skills
* Self-directed, organized, and comfortable making decisions with limited data
