Our company is seeking a motivated Purchase Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for following and maintaining Purchase SOPs, ensuring routine execution, managing cost control and escalations, and handling both domestic and international sourcing for automation and logistics automation projects.
The Purchase Buyer will develop and manage a domestic and global supplier base, monitor supplier accounts payables, and ensure on-time procurement at optimal cost.
Key Responsibilities Supplier Management & ReviewReview and evaluate supplier business accounts (Class A & B suppliers)
Develop alternate sourcing strategies and ensure substitute suppliers for each commodity
Build and maintain domestic and global supplier relationships
Review purchase indents, prioritize urgent requests, and initiate procurement processes
Ensure on-time procurement at optimal cost
Resolve daily procurement-related queries with Stores and Accounts teams
Manage Cap Ex procurement and maintain compliance records
Drive utilization and liquidation efforts for excess inventory
Analyze and define reorder levels
Suggest cost-effective alternatives using available excess inventory
Support effective inventory planning and forecasting
Ensure adherence to Purchase SOP
Address and resolve compliance-related queries
Review pending PO reports weekly
Review PO vs. GRIR reports monthly
Update KRA goals and achievement tracking weekly
Source global and local trade/labor for in-house and on-site installation and commissioning

2–5 years of relevant purchasing or supply chain experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SCM systems
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues and implement corrective actions
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
Self-starter with strong ownership mindset
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Proactive forecasting and planning skills
Willingness to travel periodically to supplier and client sites
