Make or Buy R&D Leader

The Make or Buy R&D Leader drives R&D in sourcing strategies within the Value Creation Program, consolidating Supplier Engineering Desing and Development (EDD), other engineering purchased services (PSO), and similar spending while defining in sourcing roadmaps.

• Provide analytical and operational support to the Make or Buy R&D Leader across all phases of the workstream
• Consolidate and structure detailed R&D spending data related to EDD, PSO, and similar activities
• Develop quantitative analyses covering FTE impacts, cost baselines, savings potential, and competency implications
• Support the development, documentation, and comparison of Make or Buy and in sourcing scenarios
• Interface with Finance, HR, and technical teams to validate assumptions and ensure data consistency
• Maintain structured tracking of actions, milestones, and benefits
• Support preparation of reporting, dashboards, and governance material for VCP forums
• Ensure documentation quality and traceability in line with VCP standards

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering; or related degree
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, or 7 years with a Masters degree
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in R&D, finance controlling, or transformation support roles
• Proven analytical capability to structure, analyze, and validate detailed cost and resource data
• Experience supporting complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives
• Strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and reporting
• Ability to support development and comparison of Make or Buy and in sourcing scenarios
• Good understanding of interfaces between R&D, HR, and Finance

• Experience in workforce analysis or cost optimization projects
• Exposure to VCP or similar governance‑driven programs
