JCI’s Project Delivery Consultant is responsible for estimating, scheduling, budgeting and managing construction projects across the Central Area, working closely with the Development Manager, Construction Managers, and sales & engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Lead project estimating and operations development throughout the sales cycle, from inception to contract signature.
- Determine resource levels, manage workforce, and monitor conformance with the construction delivery plan.
- Manage change and scope creep, ensuring proper documentation and approval of change orders.
- Develop the project execution plan, schedule, and budget, presenting them to customers and the Development Manager.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to secure customer contracts and maintain customer and subcontractor relationships.
- Coordinate with SI Area Delivery Manager to allocate resources and support near‑term commitments.
- Provide input on vendor/partner selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, and risk assessment during early audit stages.
- Act as a consultant to Construction Managers during installation on design intent and compliance.
- Assist in financial reporting, including yearly operating plans, fiscal year plans, and monthly financials for the Area.
- Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and JCI safety and ethical standards.
- Participate in post‑mortems and continuous improvement processes for each project.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Ten or more years of progressively responsible operations management experience in the installation industry, with at least five years of direct management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Experience leading cross‑functional project teams to achieve business results.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera), MS Office, SharePoint, and cloud‑based business applications.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence at the executive level.
- Knowledge of supply‑chain levels and construction industry best practices.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,100 – $168,400. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
