JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:

PROJECT MANAGERII

LOCATION:

Auburn Hills, MI

OBJECTIVE

The function of this position is tomanage projectscheduling, project buyout, estimating, document control and management of self-performteamsand subcontractors in the Industrial and Heavy Commercial Markets. This could entail one large project at a time or severalsmalltomedium sizeprojects ject delivery methods may include Self-Perform, General Contracting or Construction Management. Project sizesrangingfrom $1,000,000to $ USD and may include some travel. Location varies from office to part-time office/jobsite tofull timejobsite.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Commit toCCC’s people-based safety culture andcomply withtheCCCcorporate safety manual and leadership training requirements.
  • Adhere to allCCCstandard operating procedures (ISO) for estimating,purchasing, and project control.
  • Collaborate with the client’s project management team,CCCproject executives, project engineers, site safety manager, trade subcontractors, local authorities, and designers/engineers to ensure project success.
  • Oversee project finances, including profit/loss management, cost control, negotiating change orders for scope adjustments, and financial reporting.
  • Manage document control through project management software (pre-construction documents, submittals, RFIs/DCRs, punch lists, and closeout).
  • Work closely withthe estimating team in project buyout.
  • Manageestimating tasks, including budgets, bulletins, and change request/field order quotations.
  • Coordinate self-perform and subcontractor scopes with field supervision.
  • Maintain strong, open relationships with customers.
  • Establish construction budgets and job setups.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, logistics, engineering, andCCCsafety plans and procedures.
  • Develop and manage project schedule baselines using Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Draft letters of intent, purchase orders, and master sub-agreements as needed.
  • Manage the projectsubmittal process or collaborate with project engineers tomaintainsubmittal logs, verify shop drawings, and align submittals with the project schedule.
  • Assemble and distributedrawings and specifications for field use.
  • Support new hire processes for field staff.
  • During construction, maintainrecord drawings, oversee submittals, manage the RFI log, budget and forecast labor costs, contribute tochangeorder pricing,expeditematerials and equipment, and update project schedules.
  • During closeout, review and compile closeout documentation for the owner and CCCrecords, ensure vendor and subcontractor compliance, manage the punch list, and complete ISO closeout procedures.
  • Travel may be required.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management,engineering, ora related field.
  • 9-12yearsrelated experience oran equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience with aGeneral Contracting/Construction Management organization.
  • Desiredcandidate has some knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating,purchasing, technology, equipment, methods, accounting principles, and engineering principles/techniques.
  • Automotive project experience is preferred.
