Senior Associate, Architect (Architecture/Construction/Engineering/Facilities)

About The Position:

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional client service, enduring architecture and services that shape the future of education, municipal and commercial markets. We continue to grow and are seeking a Senior Architect to oversee projects from client identification, through expression of interest to project completion. The position will be responsible for planning and designing client solutions, growing relationships, and delivering overall project deliverables.

Additionally, the senior leader will mentor team members, manage, and expand strategic partnerships, contribute to best practices, profitability and expand/integrate new technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:Be a trusted advisor to clients, lead and inspire a team of architects, associates, and designers. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Role includes being a player-coach and being hands on with projects.
  • Project Management:Oversee and manage design projects of all sizes, complexity, and profiles from conception to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
  • Mentorship:Oversee and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Business Development:Contribute to expanding client relationships and increasing revenue. Represent the firm in industry and client forums while promoting the company brand, reputation, and capability.
  • Innovation:Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and excellence in design.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years’ experience in architecture, with a proven record of success, leading projects, and teams. K-12, Higher Education, Municipal experience a plus.
  • Education:Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure:Licensed Architect with current Michigan registration.
  • Skills:Planning, architectural design, estimating, construction documentation and administration, facility assessment background is essential. Strong leadership, project management, and business acumen. Excellent communicator, presenter, and strong people skills.
  • Software Proficiency:Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Blue Beam, BIM
    360 Collaboration, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Competitive Compensation:+$120K. Total compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Position includes a base salary, bonus potential contingent on individual and company performance, plus other long-term compensation.
