Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in project management within automotive systems
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and chassis design principles
- Familiarity with Key Process Indicators (KPIs) in automotive development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively
- Competency in change management processes including Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) design
- Experience in budget management for R&D projects
- Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to meet stringent timelines and quality standards
- Oversee the development and delivery of the chassis vehicle system to meet design specifications
- Ensure documentation for sourcing start-up is complete and accurately maintained
- Develop and execute Milestone Reviews and ensure KPIs are achieved
- Meet program targets related to quality, material costs, and timing
- Manage the tooling release process with suppliers for on-time delivery
- Support build activities and lead problem-solving efforts
- Address supplier troubleshooting issues related to design or manufacturing dimensions
- Implement issue resolution protocols through corporate systems
- Facilitate the change management process with engineering teams
- Ensure compliance and certification of vehicle subsystems
- Monitor and maintain the R&D budget to ensure adherence
- Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams for project success
- Evaluate and plan for pilot vehicle test execution
- Estimate labor hours for engineers required for component development
- Verify dimensional stability and fit/finish during pilot builds
