Chassis Vehicle System Release Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in project management within automotive systems
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and chassis design principles
• Familiarity with Key Process Indicators (KPIs) in automotive development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively
• Competency in change management processes including Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) design
• Experience in budget management for R&D projects
• Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting methodologies
• Ability to meet stringent timelines and quality standards

• Oversee the development and delivery of the chassis vehicle system to meet design specifications
• Ensure documentation for sourcing start-up is complete and accurately maintained
• Develop and execute Milestone Reviews and ensure KPIs are achieved
• Meet program targets related to quality, material costs, and timing
• Manage the tooling release process with suppliers for on-time delivery
• Support build activities and lead problem-solving efforts
• Address supplier troubleshooting issues related to design or manufacturing dimensions
• Implement issue resolution protocols through corporate systems
• Facilitate the change management process with engineering teams
• Ensure compliance and certification of vehicle subsystems
• Monitor and maintain the R&D budget to ensure adherence
• Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams for project success
• Evaluate and plan for pilot vehicle test execution
• Estimate labor hours for engineers required for component development
• Verify dimensional stability and fit/finish during pilot builds
