General InformationThe Project Manager is leader of the cross‑disciplinary project team tasked with project execution. Primary interface to both internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities- Lead engineering team to ensure efficient project execution.
- Know current and future volumes for the Customer/Technology.
- Drive strategy for Product Line and customer.
- Regular interaction with management in development, Sales and Purchasing.
- Conduct regular technical/strategy alignments with the customer.
- Responsible for delivering work products on time and to the highest quality.
- Serve as the first escalation point for the Customer.
- Responsible for the economic success for the Customer.
- Initiate cost improvement programs.
- Define project goals (financial, scheduling, and quality goals).
- Product lifecycle from Pre‑Development to Series Production.
- Financials, Customer/Schaeffler design change implementation (design to cost, supplier/customer design changes), support quality issues.
- Drive communication with the customer for all related series production activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager for General Motors products.
- Experience in design of automotive products and functions.
- Strong knowledge of automotive vehicles, subsystems and products.
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and processes.
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
- Experience with Internal Combustion Engines.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
