Applications Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Applications Engineer for a Direct Hire position with a client located in Auburn Hills MI
. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Autodesk Moldflow experience, Solid Works experience, Injection Molding, or Tooling experience.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000 (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Application Engineer will be working with customers to determine the requirements for using Products.

Application Engineers prepare an analysis of customer needs, review tool drawings etc., create a concept, and then quote the cost of the Products.

Once accepted by the customer, applications initiate the process of opening the order, supplying Production Engineers with all of the pertinent data, reviewing with the customer the final print for approval and then notifying the Manufacturing Department of the order.

Once into production, the Application Engineer becomes the liaison between Manufacturing, Sales, and the customer.

Bachelor's degree (B.

A.) from four-year college or university in the study of Plastics Technology, Mechanical Engineering with Plastics Minor;
Mold filling experience a plus, and/or two to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Injection Molding.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
