Location: Serving Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer, and Wayne Counties. Main office located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
E.L. Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with expertise in estimating mid‑sized commercial electrical projects. - Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for mid‑sized commercial electrical projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to develop precise cost estimates.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure accurate pricing and project feasibility.
- Identify project risks and provide value engineering solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Assist in bid proposals, contract negotiations, and pre‑construction planning.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Vision Infosoft Estimating Software is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
