Quality – Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer – Transmission and Driveline

Overview

The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer to join the Control Tower & Field Quality team (CTFQ) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. CTFQ Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence.

The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. This Opportunity is in Propulsion System Group - Transmission and Driveline
.

• Facilitating cross functional project meetings; compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence; identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
• Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress
• Lead triage - warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations
• Establish & validate containment & permanent actions at Stellantis / Supplier Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update
• Maintain project timelines

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
• Knowledge about Transmission and Driveline system and components
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter
• Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings

• Master's degree in engineering
• Familiar with Quality-related metrics
• Shainin RedX Black Belt
• Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe
• Design for Six Sigma
• Project Management
