PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the single point of accountability for assigned international programs, owning cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead integrated program teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, and finance.
- Develop and maintain program baselines, IMS, risk registers, and financial forecasts.
- Drive disciplined execution through program reviews, milestone tracking, and corrective action planning.
- Manage programs executed under FMS, DCS, and hybrid international contracting models.
- Coordinate closely with U.S. Government stakeholders (DSCA, PMOs, PEOs, contracting officers) as required.
- Support export compliance, licensing (ITAR/EAR), and country-specific regulatory requirements in coordination with contracts and legal teams.
- Manage program budgets, earned value (where applicable), and cash flow.
- Support contract negotiations, scope management, change control, and claims resolution.
- Ensure alignment between contractual requirements, technical baseline, and production realities.
- Interface directly with international customers, including ministries of defense and military end users.
- Identify and actively manage technical, schedule, cost, and supply-chain risks-particularly those unique to international programs.
- Lead mitigation planning and decision support for leadership.
- Capture lessons learned and apply them across the international portfolio.
- Brief AMG senior leadership with clear, data-driven program status and recommendations.
- Mentor junior program staff and contribute to a culture of accountability and execution excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of program or project management experience, preferably within defense, aerospace, or complex manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing international programs, including customer engagement outside the U.S.
- Working knowledge of FMS and/or DCS processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across matrixed organizations.
- Experience managing cost, schedule, and risk on technically complex programs.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
- PMP or similar program management certification preferred
- MBA or Masters in engineering or related field.
- Experience with tactical vehicles, weapons systems, or military platforms.
- Familiarity with export compliance (ITAR/EAR) and international contracting frameworks.
- Experience transitioning programs from capture into execution and production.
- Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
- Hand-Eye Coordination: must be able to regularly coordinate one's eyes with one's fingers, wrists, or arms to move, carry, or manipulate objects or to perform other job-related tasks
- Manual Dexterity: must be able to regularly make quick, accurate, skillful, and coordinated movement with hands and arms to grasp, place, move, or use objects such as phone, computer, and other office equipment, tools, or controls
- Agility: must be able to regularly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks, including the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, Company's property surrounding facility, or additional work areas
- Climbing / Kneeling: must be able to occasionally climb, kneel, bend over, stoop, crouch, or crawl, with balance
- Lifting: must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance
- Physical Strength: must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups
