Position: Product Quality Eng.
General Information:

The Product Quality Engineer will be respsonsible for Business Unit Powertrain/Chassis located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Your Responsibilities:

* Oversee or conduct quality checks or designated product/manufacturing process inspections, decide on blocking of suspect or defective parts or products for further decision.

* Analyze and create technical concepts for optimization of quality aspects in production or assembly processes assigned.

* Implement quality standards, initiatives, and technical concepts and verify application and effectiveness, and support preparation/completion of internal and external audits.

* Manage complaints and related costs and initiate corrective actions in cooperation with local Quality Management and Quality Customer Service.

* Analyze parts returned from field/customers and issue related analysis reports, analyze customer warranty cases.

* The Product Quality Manager ensure Change Management with design changes. PTN / PCN (validations, etc.) including those that impact multiple locations.

* Responsible for Technical Factor acceptance. In collaboration with CQ / QMPP support the negotiation

* Monitor quality target setting and deploy action item tracking for achievement of quality targets. Add: reporting (field monitoring, KPI's, failure Pareto's,….)

* Coordinate risk assessment activities for products deviating from Design in serial life, ensure integrity of technical compliance in case of deviation. Ensure collective deviations are shared and reflected to design for DTC improvement in series life.

* This position may be required to support both PdQM and PjQM responsibilities depending on workload demands within the BU. Therefore, strong seniority and experience in both Development and Series Production Quality are essential

* PjQM:
Technical Compliance Management, Structured Problem Solving, Lessons Learned, ASPICE, Reporting of the QA performance

* PjQM:
Perform Work Product/Quality Gates Checks/Moderate the Gates

* PjQM:
Strive for front loading pushing to ensure the product and process Quality in Project- and in Launch Phase accordingly to Product QM responsibility and collaboration model

* PjQM:
Coaching and/or Steering the project team on process adherence and quality methods and activities

Your

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field (Hardware/ Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics) and 5 years of experience or Master's degree in an engineering related field and 2 years of experience

* 5 years min Quality Experience

* Structured problem solving ability

* Software:
Minitab, preferred

* PFMEA PPAP control plan knowledge preferred
