The Sr. Project Specialist is responsible for implementation of MCE Launch Standards for new model launches during the entire launch process. The position will interact with Corporate Planning, Production Management, Vehicle Process Engineering, and Product Engineering Leadership on all matters relating to Project Launch activities.
Responsibilities- Lead a cross-functional team to successfully Launch a New Vehicle on time within budget
- Create & Track to Resource Plans / WBS / Master Plan
- Establish Project Funding & Track Status to Budget
- Lead Steering Committee & Escalate Issues Accordingly
- Develop Pilot Schedules. Track Plan vs Actual with Daily Pilot Meetings and Reports
- IH Review Preparation / Execution
- Coordinate and lead workshops to resolve major issues
- Lead issue resolution meetings with stakeholders and escalate priority concerns
- Work closely with Team leads, Quality, and Engineering to ensure objectives are met at the station and plant levels.
- Build relationships with Engineering and Manufacturing to comprehend the new product requirements and sequence of build.
- Develop and improve work methods.
- Work with functional managers and operation managers to improve productivity, quality, and output.
- Support Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) especially for Launch Domain (LD).
- Minimum of 8 years of Automotive experience
- At least three years of program management experience
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and interface with all levels of management and labor
- Highly motivated self-starter and change agent
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Master's Degree
- Working Knowledge of MEDDs, Penta Sap, PFS, WPI, FIS, Manufacturing Portal, and MCE Global Portal
