Description
Working in compliance with the Bill of Materials Lead, the Bill of Materials Specialist receives information from engineering to create proper part usages and establish an accurate Bill of Materials for prototype builds.
- Work with engineering to ensure that vehicle bill of material milestones are met by all team members and effectively communicate and escalation any issues.
- Receive information from engineering to use for vehicle bill of materials creation.
- Ensure that proper part usages are created including proper Vehicle Sub-System Codes departments and part identification flags for non-production parts.
- Help BOM Lead and Build Leads ensure BOM accuracy by validating the content received by engineering.
- Serve as a liaison between the BOM Lead and Build Leads and engineers as it relates to bill of material questions and change management.
- Process Engineering Change Bulletins to maintain accurate BOM in the mainframe system.
- Must be very organized self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Automotive work-related experience
- Bill of Material change management experience
This is a Contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.40 - $33.40/hr.
