Development of assembly processes based on customer requirements, quality systems, financial investment and labor plans. Manage the implementation of new processes, selection of equipment to be purchased, and timing estimates. Resolve issues with quality plans, product design, manufacturability, or build process steps. Participate in adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency. Consults on and oversees selection and implementation of automation and robotics in assembly processes.

Manages activities using the Process Development System according to the developed ME timeline.

• Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs that will require new equipment or retool of existing equipment.
• Prepare all sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for any major outside tooling and equipment purchases (i.e.; continuity testers, alignment equipment, balancers, uniformity equipment, etc).
• Gather all relevant product information, production rates and assembly requirements from customer contacts.
• Prepare equipment operators by assisting launch team with training; providing reference and support resources.
• Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Monitor and support plant with equipment installation and launch.
• Review all sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for any major outside tooling and equipment purchases (i.e.; continuity testers, alignment equipment, balancers, uniformity equipment, etc.).
• Work with PC&L team to optimize material flow to production line.
• Understand Android operations (Sequencing/subassembly, shipping and receiving).
• Be responsible for equipment certification and run‑off; provide feedback and accelerate issues to leadership.
• Act as a liaison and coordinate with Plant team members to ensure that lessons learned, best practices, and plant goals are incorporated into new production processes.
• Coordinate program change requests.
• Provide Manufacturing Engineering guidance and support to ensure that the resulting assembly processes, tooling and equipment improve throughput, scrap and rework reduction, reduce cost, and enhance quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineer to drive Quality (PFMEA, Reverse PFMEA, Control Plan, Error‑proofing plan) back into the design of the assembly processes and equipment and to ensure a robust Manufacturing System that meets quality and engineering standards.
• Promote health and safety in all phases of engineering and launch.
• Maintain equipment records by filing documents and updating the equipment database.
• Protect organization value by keeping information confidential and warning others of potential breaches.

• Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in assembly and/ or manufacturing and 2+ years of experience with APQP system.

Supervisory experience in the manufacturing field is preferred.

Travel Required:

Minimal

• General understanding of manufacturing processes, Android operations (sequencing, sub‑assembly, shipping and receiving, and tooling).
