Cost Analyst – Purchased Parts & Production Processes

We are partnering with a growing global automotive supplier to add a Cost Analyst to its strategic sourcing and engineering team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Cost Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Supplier Cost Analyst, or Value Engineering professional who enjoys diving deep into manufacturing processes and helping drive smarter sourcing decisions.

• Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to develop detailed should‑cost models and provide the data needed to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
• Develop should‑cost models for purchased components, including materials, labor, overhead, and supplier margins.
• Analyze manufacturing processes such as assembly operations, machining, injection molding, stamping, and other critical manufacturing steps.
• Support supplier negotiations through detailed cost breakdowns and analysis.
• Partner with Engineering on Design‑to‑Cost and VAVE initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and identify key cost drivers.
• Monitor commodity pricing and manufacturing cost trends.
• Provide cost analysis support for new product launches.
• Prepare executive‑level reports and recommendations for management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Cost Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
• Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Automotive industry experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
• Experience working with global suppliers and sourcing organizations.
• Background in should‑cost modeling, VAVE, or supplier negotiations.
