Test Automation Engineer – Automotive HIL

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain automated validation and test solutions for automotive systems. The role supports a wide range of test benches and validation environments, including HIL, DV/PV, EMC, vehicle simulation, and virtual validation platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills with hands‑on experience in automotive test systems.

• Review and analyze test automation requirements from project test teams.
• Design and develop automation solutions aligned with standard system architectures.
• Manage hardware procurement, inventory control, and shipment coordination.
• Perform hardware and software integration of test benches and validation setups.
• Provide effort and cost estimates for automation development activities.
• Create and maintain automation coverage and timing plans.
• Report project status to stakeholders and escalate risks or issues when necessary.
• Ensure solution quality through validation, documentation, version control, and backup processes.
• Support deployment and maintenance of test benches at internal and customer locations.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• HIL closed-loop systems, reinjection HIL, system integration, calibration, and CI/CT benches
• DV, PV, and EMC test benches
• Vehicle rest-bus simulation systems
• Vehicle recording and ground-truth reference systems
• Virtual validation tools, including SIL, virtual sensors, and simulation models
• Test data injection and acquisition platforms
• Supporting software for all test solutions

• Strong hands‑on experience with LabVIEW and Test Stand.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and CAPL.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP networking, and network switch configuration.
• Experience with A2B and analog audio systems.
• Proven ability to design and develop automated testing solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Experience with Vector CANoe.
• Exposure to RF testing.
• Knowledge of image processing, video pipelines, or computer vision systems.
• Experience with requirements engineering and design tools.
• Automotive or ADAS domain experience.
