Position SummaryWe are seeking an EE Architecture & Power Distribution Engineer to support the development and deployment of vehicle electrical and electronic (E/E) architectures across multiple vehicle programs. This role will be responsible for defining architecture solutions, power distribution strategies, and network topologies that meet vehicle program requirements while ensuring seamless integration across electrical systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, embedded networking, power distribution systems, and automotive development processes. This position requires close collaboration with vehicle architecture, wiring, power distribution, systems, and component engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy vehicle electrical architecture solutions for assigned vehicle platforms and programs.
- Analyze program requirements and define optimized architecture and power distribution strategies.
- Identify gaps in existing architecture solutions and propose new technical approaches to address program-specific needs.
- Create and maintain vehicle electrical topologies and architecture documentation.
- Support the development and optimization of vehicle power distribution systems.
- Analyze vehicle power consumption and support energy management activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate fuse sizing and power protection strategies.
- Evaluate power distribution configurations and recommend design improvements to support vehicle requirements.
- Define and support communication architectures utilizing:
- CAN
- CAN FD
- LIN
- Automotive Ethernet
- Support the integration of electronic control units (ECUs), gateways, and networked systems.
- Develop network topologies, interfaces, and communication strategies for vehicle applications.
- Collaborate with vehicle architecture, wiring, systems, and design teams to ensure successful implementation of architecture solutions.
- Support program reviews, technical discussions, and architecture-related decision-making activities.
- Coordinate deliverables to ensure program timing, quality, and change management requirements are achieved.
- Develop architecture schematics, topology diagrams, and system documentation.
- Support component sourcing activities by defining applicable architecture and infrastructure requirements.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and impact assessments for engineering changes and program investigations.
- Support mule vehicle and prototype electrical architecture development activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in EE Architecture, Electrical Systems Engineering, Power Distribution, or Automotive Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of vehicle electrical and electronic architectures.
- Experience with embedded networked systems and communication interfaces.
- Knowledge of:
- CAN
- CAN FD
- LIN
- Automotive Ethernet
- Familiarity with automotive product development processes and systems engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Ethernet‑based communication technologies including:
- SOME/IP
- TCP/UDP
- MQTT
- Time Sensitive Networking (TSN)
- Familiarity with:
- Wi‑Fi
- 4G/5G Connectivity
- V2X Communication
- Knowledge of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts.
