Job DescriptionThis position will lead a team of engineers and technicians to design, package, and release wire harnesses per specifications to meet program timing. The team will include Wiring, CAD Design & Packaging, Wiring Debug, IPC Gateway, High Voltage Wiring, I‑Speed. Responsibilities include weekly program updates on status, timing, and risks.
Primary Responsibilities- Understand program changes and assign team members to projects.
- Assess new modules, software, and harnesses needed for the program.
- Establish the CAD group for packaging design.
- Coordinate with the System Group (IPC) to develop software for new modules.
- Attend prototype build engineering meetings.
- Review system changes and vehicle adaptations to incorporate modules and harnesses into mule vehicle/architecture.
- Develop integration modules to bridge surrogate vehicle to the new program mule vehicle.
- Collaborate with suppliers to explain program changes and define delivery timing.
- Support mule builds and triage mule build issues.
- Provide regular updates on mule build status to the EHE team.
- Escalate roadblocks efficiently.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum nine years of experience in automotive electrical systems with direct involvement in wiring harness design, packaging, release, or vehicle electrical integration.
- Minimum three years of experience leading engineers and technicians and coordinating work across multiple sub‑teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Hands‑on knowledge of wire harness specifications, drawings, and build/release processes, including change management and issue triage.
- Experience supporting prototype or mule builds (planning, build support, debugging, triage, and rapid problem resolution).
- Working knowledge of electrical architecture integration—modules, interfaces, power/ground, network basics—and ability to bridge “build‑from” surrogate vehicles to “build‑to” program mules.

- Experience working with suppliers to communicate engineering changes and manage part/harness delivery timing to program milestones.
- Proficiency with common engineering productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and tracking.
- Ability to work on‑site or in‑vehicle as needed for build support, including occasional off‑hours support during prototype build events.
