Advanced QE is responsible for ensuring that product/processes meet defined standards and requirements internally and externally during the entire product life cycle across all customers in the region with focus during all stages of AQP preventing risk. Drive customer scorecards to “green” status through problem solving, monthly reporting and internal/external customer interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and verify quality disciplines during all phases of product/process development and launch
  • Ensure compliance to standards and requirements internally and externally including safety
  • Ensure customer specific requirements are met including satisfaction by tracking and driving “green” scorecards across all customers within the region
  • Develop or review and validate Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plans, Work Instruction and visual aids
  • Support OpEX team for deployment and compliance to standards through training and auditing
  • Active role in problem solving using PPS, CSCC and Yokoten methods
  • Support and track PPAP timing for selected programs and/or changes
  • Create, revise and validate Safe Launch activities when necessary
  • Prepare reports for various levels of management on a defined frequency (KPI reporting)
  • Drive value add compliance by improving inspection methods or lab testing/inspections and reducing costs using data/technology
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision
Skill Requirements
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Strong professional and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with co-workers, customers, vendors and visitors in a respectful and professional manner
  • Proficient in reading print/drawing and requirements (including links to specifications) as well as perform inspection/testing using basic equipment and special features
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as multi-task and travel
  • Strong organizational and technical skills
  • Strong data analysis and process validation (including statistics)
  • Ability to maintain control of teams to stay on track/focused
  • Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in industry
  • Minimum 3 years experience in launch, manufacturing and/or quality
  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Certified in IATF and Core Tools
  • Automotive experience especially with GM, STLA, Ford, Hyundai/Kia and BMW
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements
  • Valid drivers license and passport
  • Blackbelt / 6

    Sigma or other certification is desired
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching and climbing stairs for long periods of time
  • Repetitive finger movement, twisting or pressure involving wrist or hands
  • Working in manufacturing, laboratory and/or office environments
  • Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Use of hands and legs
  • Traveling for extended periods or routine – flexible work schedule driven by unforeseen events/timing
  • Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conversation
  • Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers
Working Conditions
  • Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
  • Noise: constant above 85dcb with vibration
  • Occasionally work with chemicals, grease, oils, machinery with moving parts, moving vehicles, hands in water, alone and more than 40 hours

  • Safety shoes and vest as required
