Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Build and validate restraint component models using FE software to physical test data.
- Correlate to test results and optimize component performance.
- Carry out parameter studies, design of experiments or topology studies for component and system optimization.
- Biomechanical data analysis and film analysis.
- Simulation and evaluation of load cases of occupant restraint systems.
- Carry out parameter studies for the correlation of restraint systems.
- Analyze test results (crash/sled/OOP).
- Support Product Engineering with component development and optimization.
- Create and execute status presentations and participate in project meetings internally and with the customer.
- Actively participate in DFMEA and design reviews.
- Coordinate the test setup for the relevant tests with the responsible Product/Systems Engineer.
- Technical project management of an occupant restraint system/occupant safety project if applicable.
- Keep up to date with global government regulations and consumer test (NCAP/IIHS/C‑IASI, etc.) performance criteria and testing methods.
- Lead by example; supervisors, managers, and above are expected to set an example of high standards of ethical business conduct.
- Help create a work environment that values mutual respect and open communication.
- Be a resource for others; available to speak with employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners about the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and the applicable policies.

- Become familiar with Joyson Safety Systems' Ethics and Compliance Policies.
- Report to your supervisor, the Executive Committee, the Compliance Department, or any available resource any possible violation of the laws, the Code of Conduct, or the Company's policies.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data and information related to your job position and department.

- BS or higher degree in Engineering, Numerical Math or comparable subject.
- Experience with global safety regulations and consumer ratings.
- Background in biomechanics and accident reconstruction.
- Sound knowledge of FE solvers LS‑DYNA and Pam Crash.
- Experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with relevant pre‑ and post‑processing tools (e.g., Hyperworks, Animator, Visual Environment, Primer).
- Knowledge in occupant safety and/or vehicle crash, including legislative and consumer test requirements for passive and active safety systems.
- PC knowledge (MS Office).
- (Self‑)motivation and team player.
- Project and time management.
