Job Overview
The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer to join the Control Tower & Field Quality team (CTFQ) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. The CTFQ Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems, including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence.
The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. This opportunity is in Propulsion System Group - Transmission and Driveline

- Facilitating cross‑functional project meetings; compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, agendas, minutes, and correspondence; identifying and analyzing system requirements, and defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders.
- Leading the resolution of warranty‑related issues – accountable for the problem‑solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress.
- Leading triage – warranty claims review, sorting and bucketing claims, reviewing and calling vehicles at dealers, and supporting Stellantis/Suppliers review at the Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
- Establishing and validating containment and permanent actions at Stellantis and Supplier plants through physical review of product/process changes, internal metrics, and control plan updates.
- Maintaining project timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in testing, validation, and test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
- Knowledge of Transmission and Driveline systems and components.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and MS Project.
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding of full details on drawings.
- Master's degree in engineering.
- Familiarity with quality‑related metrics.
- Shainin RedX Black Belt.
- Green Belt / Kepner‑Tregoe.
- Design for Six Sigma.
- Project Management.
