General informationWork with Sales and Engineering quoting new business to our customers and when new business is awarded, source each component in the Bill of Material (BOM) within target and follow up until the project is in production.
Your Responsibilities- Provide cost estimates to the Sales department of BOM for new acquisitions.
- Define and execute strategy on every new awarded business to achieve established targets.
- Implement advanced negotiation concepts on sourcing to maximize benefit.
- Prepare final sourcing documentation and transfer it to Plant Purchasing.
- Identify and develop local or Best Cost Country suppliers.
- Drive market research activities for new technologies/solutions.
- Recommend component derivatives and component or production process innovations to the project team and other interface partners.
- Effectively cooperate with CAT purchasing, following given sourcing and suppliers strategies.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of automotive purchasing experience
- Required. - Willing to travel up to 20% - Domestic & Internaltional
- Valid Passport
- Required. - Bachelor of Engineering
- Preferred. - Manufacturing or R&D experience
- Preferred. - Fluency in English required, bilingual speaker
- Preferred. - Able to manage/coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Preferred. - Conflict resolution and problem solving & decision making skills
- Preferred. - Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
